Partizan did not freeze!

640x640The Russian company "Tahion" performed its own independent tests of the outdoor IP camera Partizan IPO-VF2MP POE v2.0 working ability at extremely low temperatures. Let us present the testing results.


According to the test procedure, the powered-off camera was cooled to the temperature of -45°C during one hour. Then the "cold start" test was executed: we power-on the unit and examine its functionality. The result was the most positive: camera turned on without any disruptions and delays. Then, it transmitted the captured image during eight hours while it was in the climate box at the temperature of -45°C. This was despite the fact that the IPO-VF2MP POE v2.0 specifications indicate the lowest limit of the operating temperature at -40°C. The energy consumption during the model's test didn't exceed the range of 7-9 watts.


The camera's functionality test at extremely low temperatures was supplemented with the stress test of working ability during warming. From -45°C the ambient temperature was quickly raised to 25°C and the camera was maintained under the new conditions during 30 minutes. The testers did not notice any functionality failures.


According to the test results, the specialists of Tahion («Тахион») made a reasonable conclusion, included in the test report: the video cameras IPO-VF2MP POE v2.0 retain full functionality at ambient temperatures up to -45°C. It means that this camera model can be safely used to build video surveillance systems in extreme weather conditions.
